ROSCH KENNEL Became a Game — Introducing ROSCH Craft Virtual Kennel Tour
Most Dog Lovers Can’t Actually Own One

Every day, about 1,500 people visit the ROSCH KENNEL website. Some come to check puppy listings, others browse parent dog profiles, and many read our articles on genetic testing.
But honestly — most of them aren’t in a position to own a dog right now.
Housing restrictions, work commitments, family circumstances. They love dogs, they’re drawn to Border Collies, but they can’t have one. This isn’t unique to our site; it’s simply the reality that among all dog lovers, only a fraction can actually own one.
We’ve always focused on providing information for people buying dogs. That’s natural for a breeder. But at the same time, we had nothing to offer the people who love dogs but can’t own one.
Owning a Real Dog Isn’t Everything
ROSCH KENNEL’s mission is to propose an “outdoor dog life.” The concept of spending enriching time with dogs in nature doesn’t actually need to be limited to dog owners.
Running with dogs. Throwing a frisbee. Simply being together. The essential joy of that experience — does it really change whether it’s real or virtual?
This question became the starting point for ROSCH Craft.
What Is ROSCH Craft?

ROSCH Craft is an online game that recreates ROSCH KENNEL’s Kirishima kennel in a virtual world.
Just open your browser and you can freely explore the kennel rendered in voxel art. Cherry trees lining the property, dogs running around the yard. We captured the atmosphere of our Kirishima kennel inside the game. The game also features a log cabin kennel building — this is a preview of our planned future facility, brought to life in the virtual world first.
What You Can Do
- Walk the kennel — Explore the virtual version of our Kirishima kennel. The layout and atmosphere are based on the real facility.
- Play with the dogs — Throw frisbees, run together. The dogs move with the agility you’d expect from Border Collies.
- Dogs remember you — The dogs in the game remember individual players. The more you play, the more they warm up to you. This isn’t just a game mechanic — it reflects our belief that relationships with dogs are built over time.
- Free crafting — In the park area across from the kennel, you can freely craft and play with whatever you like.
Linked to Real Dogs
The dogs in the game aren’t fictional characters. They’re modeled after ROSCH KENNEL’s actual parent dogs. The dog you see on our website’s profile page is the same one chasing a frisbee in the game. That connection is at the heart of ROSCH Craft.
Why a “Game”?
There are many ways to provide a virtual experience. 360-degree photos, VR tours, live cameras. Why go through the trouble of making a game?
The reason is simple: “watching” and “playing” are completely different experiences.
A 360-degree photo can show you the kennel, but you can’t play with the dogs. A live camera streams real-time footage, but you can’t interact with anyone. Only in a game format can you interact with dogs, build relationships, and spend time together.
And one more thing. We chose Minecraft-style voxel art because we wanted to prioritize “fun” over “realism.” No matter how photorealistic we made the graphics, they’d never beat the real thing. So we went all in on a visual style that makes you think “that looks fun” the moment you see it.
Currently in Beta
ROSCH Craft is currently available as a beta release. You can already explore the kennel and play with the dogs, but we’ll continue adding features over time.
Specifically:
- Seasonal changes (reflecting Kirishima’s four seasons)
- Expanded dog behavior patterns
- Real-time puppy information integration
- Community features
We’ll announce new features as they’re added.
Another Place to Spend Time with Dogs
ROSCH Craft isn’t a “substitute for people who can’t own dogs.” It’s our way of bringing the joy of spending time with dogs to more people — our own proposal for a dog life.
In-person kennel visits remain available by appointment as always. ROSCH Craft is another option alongside that. Casually, anytime, from anywhere.
